best 13B to swap into my fb

I am looking to do a 13B swap to my FB which will be streetported with a blow through turbo setup. I would like to know the advantages and disadvantages of the different 13B's out there and which one you think would be best, keeping in mind I cant spend a huge amount of money on the engine. Things on my mind: does the 84-85 SE engine have any disadvantage to the FC engine? What are the differences in the different series? i am probably going to get a gslse or FC engine to save money so tell me about these 13B's. thanks.

If you want to turbo it, a 4 port TII block would work best I would think.

no, not for a blown threw. ok first the big differences.
84-85 - heavier rotors, small DEC
86-88 - lighter rotors and flywheel meaning less rotaional mass, lager/better DEC
88-91 - pretty much the same, better DEC, and ECU, the OMP is computer controled as aposed to mechanical
turbo II - lower compression for higher boost, lighter flywheel, lighter rotors, and then the added differences between s4 and s5 (86-88 and 89-91)

and a 3rd gen is just gona be FUBAR for your use b/c the compressionis so low that you'd have trouble getting the turbo setup right jsut to run the motor, not to menchen the the control units you'd need and a **** ton of other things.

for your app i'd say go get a s4(86-88) N/A engine. this will work the best with existing equipment and then your blown threw turbo setup will work great with the higher compression rotors. you won't get enough boost from a blown threw to power the turbo II motor much. i personaly am in the processof gathering parts to put a turbo setup on my car. i will not be using a blown threw setup, i will run about 8-10 psi. thats about as much as you can push threw the n/a engines with out unusualy wear showing up.

I believe the 89-91 6 ports have higher compression than the 84-88 6-ports also.

13B-REW have the same compression as 89-93TII motors....9.1. The motor to use on a turbo setup. Good call on the SE rotors more torquesig
