Before/After: Pics of the Rx7 ready to go on the road!!!

Before:

After:

Now the car is ready to be put on the road, i'm waiting on the title, which should come on monday, (note the lack of plates on the car). I got the seatbelts installed, i got the rims and tires (not necessary, but the rims were on clearance, and if i'd waited... i wouldnt be able to get these rims). I fixed all of my direct fire ignition demons, hopefully there wont be anymore, and i hooked up my choke cable to the inside, so now that works and the car starts real nice.... AND, remounted my FPR, so i can easily adjust it, and see the FP Gauge... also it's much more secure and "proper" now.

so, as of the beginning of next week, the Chevelle is out of comission, and the Rex is ready to tear **** up.

Also, i know the car needs a lowering of some sort... i need struts anyway, so when i get struts, i'll get some tockio blues, and either Eibach or Racing Beat springs all around, and that should lower it some... i still have to decide if i want coilovers in the front, so i can adjust height easily... cause the ground control kit can be gotten for not all that much extra... figure the Eibach spring set is ~230, and the coilover kit is $199 w/ eibach springs... and then i'd just need the matching rear springs, which couldnt be much more than 100 for the pair... so it would only be about 70 bucks more to have coilovers.... certianly something i'll consider, give me your opinions.

-Kurt

passing smog is gonna be a "hurdle" but i have it covered.

the rims are lying around... i'll keep them around and mount snow tires on them for next year when i'm in college at RIT, where there's nothing but snow...

thanks for all the comments/compliments.

heh, i knew someone was gonna say it

it's coming... its coming, i just dont have $500 to drop on struts/shocks/coilovers and springs (rear) at the moment, so it'll have to wait.

re: the mirror, antenna and gas door lock... *shrug*... they can stay off as far as i care, when i find a mirror, i'll put it on, i dont listen to the radio, and i really dont care about the gas door... again, as money and time allows, i'll fix the little stuff.

Lookin' good! I really like those wheels with that color. For whatever reason I don't care for them in the pic of the yellow car that's floating around, but on yours they look great. What offset are they?

you might want to put the passenger side mirror on the "must get now" list, as it's the only thing on your list of needed parts that keeps your car from being legal...

um... passenger side mirrors are not required in North America. You'll notice Hondas were sold right off the lot in both Canada and the United States South Of Canada with only a driver's side mirror

no passenger mirror on mine, i think if it is original equipment you gotta have it in texas or something. and i think there is different laws for window tinting for vehicles with one side view mirror.

In Canada, if it came on the vehicle, it's required, if it didn't, you don't need it. I looked into it with my Prelude ('81) which never came with one.

and yes, tinting laws are affected. In BC at least, you're not allowed any tinting if you don't have both side mirrors...

thanks for the compliments everyone!

as for the mirror, i dont think they care in this state, but if they do, whatever, i'll get it. However i'm used to driving with only the drivers mirror and the rearview, cause the Chevelle sure dosent have a passenger side mirror.

In Saskatchewan you're not allowed any tinting on driver/passenger windows nor windshield, but you could pop out the rear glass and put a piece of board in there if you really, really wanted to.

Strange province, this.
