I am still looking for stockport modifications and would be grateful for any comment on the following

change the beehive oil cooler- will it effect the 84-45 radiator?

lighter flywheel

Emission removal, what do you gain from getting rid of the rats nest, what do you loose?

MSD ignition, is there any proven disadvantage?

Going EFI

I am still trying to keep it a Gen 1 rather than build a hybred Gen1-2 so a 13BT transplant is not an option

Only that you will have to make brackets to locate the new cooler.

lighter flywheel
Dunno, dont have one. Quicker revving, a little less grunt from a stop depending on how light you go.

Simplifying the engine, less front weight, small hp gain from losing the air pump drag on the motor. You should gut or remove the cats. You wont pass smog anymore.

Works great.

Going EFI
Dunno, not my bag.

There is at least one disadvantage to the MSD. The cost. Oh, and it makes it run like a 2nd gen with direct fire. You may not want that on your car.
