Battery wires
I've searched around and am now confused by the 2nd/3rd gen battery stuff. According to Haynes(and experience), I just need a cable running from positive terminal to starter and one from negative terminal to chasis ground. Do I need any other wires?(When the battery was ripped out, they took the terminal wires with them.) I saw that there should be one running to the fusable link, but that wire isnt the 4 guage stuff right?

Positive goes from the battery to the starter (large cable) and also has a small offshoot going to the Fusible link box.
Negative goes from the battery to the strut tower, and then attaches to .... the transmission bellhousing IIRC. It's either the bellhousing or the block, I'm pretty sure it's the bellhousing. Can someone run out and check?

I wonder how hard you searched. I just posted this yesterday.

Alternatively to using the provided mazda thingy to do the chassis splice, I just made two cables with those loop connectors, and bolted them together to the strut tower. So Technically I have one cable from battery to strut tower and *another* cable from that point on the strut tower to the block.
