Just a few updates most fo the stuff has been bought now waiting for arrival. So far I bought:

Jetway C7 2Ghz Via Processor and motherboard
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...2309&rd=1&rd=1

Lilliput 629 7" Touchscreen (this seems like it would be the best fit according to their measurements:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...7507&rd=1&rd=1

1Gb Kingston 240pin DDR2 633 RAM
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...5125&rd=1&rd=1

200W PW-200-M power supply (I hope this one actually fits without hitting the heatsink)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...9364&rd=1&rd=1

So basically all that I have left is HD and slot loading DVD RW to get it powered up. I will still need other things like Bluetooth, GPS, creative soundcard amp and stuff to get it fully in the computer but for now this is what i'm going to work with.

For the jetway boards, I know that they are fairly new compared to the EPIA boards for example and other few ones, but reading around for about a week they're actually pretty good (just make sure that your boards are made after mid 2006 basically seems to be the consensus due to audio issues and what not. The board doesn't come with loads of accessors as fasr as cabling and htings like that go, but tons of stuff built on there (Minus parrallel port kinda wanted it for Megasquirt, but reading around i guess they also make parrallel port to USB port so should still be good).

I'll post up pictures once I get the things.

The screen will be mounted in the center console to replace the stock radio units (i think the 84-85 interior style is the easiest to work with)

I've attached a couple of pics where exactly.

As for power. The power source will be directly from the battery which will be located in the rear passenger bin. The power switch to keep it on and off would be located in the ash tray area. That will be the trickest part I think. I want to Have quite a few switches and ports coming out of there for the cleanest look and to keep thiefs out as much as possible. Some of the ports will include 2/3 USB , Audio in, audio out. This will be done via connectors such as these:

Sam, you're giving me way to many ideas for future upgrades for the wb with the TII swap, and costing me more money, lol. I hope you have this mocked up and a prototype working when I deliver the shell so I can get a perspective on looks, fitment and viability. Please continue with your pioneering work for out 7s. It should make for a very nice blending of old cars with digital age functionality.

Thanks Scott ... I like to keep things as simple looking as possible, and I think the ash tray makes a perfect hiding spot. Very James bondish lol. I think i've decided on the power switches that I'll be using:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/12V-R...spagenameZWDVW

I plan on changing all the interior and exterior lights to LEDS for ultra low power usage to make up for the system. I hate wasting un-needed energy. If the DOT Approced LED head lights become available soon, i will be using those. Might make them even flush headlights with the lower 2 banks of light being for the low and the top 2 for the high.

On the LED idea, this is kinda what I have planned for the rear. This should be fairly easy on out car (81-85 style lights), as we have colored plates inside the lends. These will make a perfect candidate spot to drill and glue all the LEDS straight to it. Still not sure how many LEDs are going where but that is the rough plan of it. I might not do the inside circles of the brake lights but we'll see how they come up first. Let me know what you guys think of it.

So came up with what I think might be the greatest Idea for poeple like us. If you don't have a touch screen, using the hole part where the power window, coin holder in the 84-85 style would be a perfect place I think, to fiberlass all over it to make it flat, the cut a whole the size of a trackball mouse. And use that for mouse.

tell me that wouldn't look good in there now and that it's not a great idea. like this you wouldn't need to find space for the mouse and would look like a BMW thing.

Also for the keyboard that I have its a cheapo 20 buck mini type one that I bought before. I think that I will either fiberglass it in the glove box inside part or find something else to do. The cool thing about it is that it has a button on there that will make the whole keyboard glow light blue. Making it easier to read the keys at night time.

Let me know what you guys think about these ideas.
