bad clutch?? or no>?

hey guys, maybe im losing my clutch or something to do with hydrolics... now im pretty sure the clutch has never been changed since i have all the receipts on the car.. but i can always everytime burn out and catch a mean 2nd gear, like almost getting sideways... but on the other note, it does slip going into 3rd and 4th sometimes, when its hot. and my pedal feels like complete sloppy ****, almost like the gas pedal.. and i have already changed my slave and master cylinder and have a steel braided hose on there..

perhaps your pressure plate is shot? if your master/slave is good and no leaks, then i would think that your plate is worn out, i have a stiffer plate and my clutch makes my knee shake sometimes when i hold the pedal to the floor for a couple mins. could be your clutch disk is worn down so far that the preassure plate isn't touching it much, idk. that wouldn't explain being able to burn out good though.

yeah? thats what i was thinking. i drove a mustang mach 1 the 2003 one, and i loved the clutch feel, god it was so tight, and i know what u mean by ur knee shakes if u hold it to the floor. thats exactly how i want it

yeah when i bought the car the owner had a "sport" clutch installed, or else i would tell you what pressure plate/clutch it is. i just switched from driving that to a nissan pickup, the clutch in that is so wussy you can push it down w/ ur finger. now i don't even use it anymore except to start. downshifting beats the hell out of the synchros i think tho. o well.

does it really? maybe thats why my synchro is going bad in 3rd gear...

downshifting w/o using the clutch would kill synchros i mean, not just regular proper downshifting. also not double clutching when you're downshifting to engine brake can be hard on them.

Sounds like your clutch is going, I would baby it until you can replace it.
