back seat does it fit any first gen

Question back seat does it fit any first gen

I have a GSLSE and would like to put a back sit for my son . So does it fit in any 1st gen does not matter year

the sheet metal for the cargo bins is all the same so i would think any backseat would work.

I don't know about the seat, but no the sheet metal is not all the same. The SA's, at least mine does not have storage compartments. Also underneath the two steel plates the subframe has two steel supports running parrallel with the car. And I believe that they are directly where the storage compartments would be.

I don't think that they would interfere with the rear seat but I haven't tried it.

Sorry I couldn't find any photos. I will post some when I get my car back this week.

damn, my bad. im pretty sure the fb,s are all the same despite the different storage bin cover on the 81-83.

You'll eat up a lot of rotozips, but it's not that hard to cut all that finned metal out of the SA's so you don't lose all of the bracing that stuff is supposed to impart to the mid-area.....but is the back seat from the classifieds 12/04 even still available??
