back firing after 2nd gen coil install

I just finished my 2nd gen coil directfire setup a couple of days ago. I noticed that the car tends to back fire a bit more. A couple of times it was a second or two after shutting the motor off? By the way my car is shooting out flames on decelarion.

Thanks, Ed

Ed, glad to see you got yours done. However, I am sorry about the backfiring. Mine has done it since I cut the cat out and installed a new muffler. It does it more frequently since the 2nd gen conversion though, but I am not shooting out flames. I would think it's got to be a timing issue. I could be wrong, but advance it a few degrees and see.

I'm waiting for my 6a to come in. I'll hook it up directly to the 2nd gen coil and check, reset the timing then. I havent checked it after the 2nd gen install. Does it change at all?
Anyways I forget who asked but to answer your question about the igniter. I'm using the stock FB igniters and wiring as per FAQ section.

Thanks, Ed
