BAC valve

on a gsl-se, next to the BAC valve on the dynamic chamber (upper intake manifold), there is a black sensor of some sort. i can't seem to find a name for it and what it's function is. the only thing i have found is stating something about a "terminal wire cover" and i know this is not correct. there are two wires going to it. the reason i ask is i put a gsl-se engine back into a gsl-se. i didn't take the engine out so, i am doing my best to learn everything about this engine's components. i have what i think to be the correct wires to hook up to it, but the loops on the connector side of the wires are larger than the male end on the thing. so i am wondering if the wires are correct and what the function of this thing.
