CO Automatic counterweight question

So the plan this weekend is to do an engine swap if I cannot get current engine to turn(its stuck hard going to try the ATF trick as we cannot turn it)

The Car is a 1981 with automatic transmission(lack working 5spd and ability to do swap to 5spd)

The motor I will use I do not know what the orginal car was from. I'm imaging it was pulled from a 5spd as it was pulled in order to do a v8swap on some persons 7.

I know about the automatic Counterweight and I have downloaded the manuals to reference them in order to know how to remove it however my questions as such

Aside from the counterweight is there anything else that I would need to swap from the auto if the replacement engine is from a 5spd?

Also as far as I can tell the eccentric shaft does not need to be removed in order to swap the counterweight but do I have to use a different eccentric shaft if one is from a automatic and other was from 5spd?

Is there anything else I should keep in mind while doing the engine swap as it will be my first rotary swap. I know there are little differences between the 79-81, 82-83, 84-85 engines(I think the rotors were different weights)

Last of all.. Someone made off with my oil cap. anyone know offhand if they are generic enough I could snag one off a mazda at the salvage yard or autoparts store or do I have to find an exact?

when installing an engine from an auto 7 into a manual car, you will remove the counterweight, yes. you will however need the correct flywheel, as the counterweight is built into the flywheel for the manual trans equipped 7's. with that said, if the engine is from an 81, you will need to use the flywheel from a 79-82 RX-7. using a different flywheel will result in engine failure. the counterweight is removed in the same fashion as the flywheel. one large 2 1/8" nut. post a pic of the engine thats going in the car..this will help determine engine year.

as far as the oil cap is concerned, go to the delaer and snag one. the part number is 250A-10-0453 and they run under $10

is there a way to tell what year the 12a is from and if it has a automatic or manual counterweight without pulling off the flywheel or if i do pull it off how do i tell which counterweight it is to ensure the motor will mount to my automatic transmission on my 1981 rx7
