auto 2 standard 84 12a do i need to change the front counter weight too

i have a 84 12a auto that i'm making into standard. i already took out the automatic flywheel with counterweight and replaced it with the standard fly wheel same year motor 84 12a. NOW MY QUESTION IS DO I HAVE TO CHANGED THE FRONT COUNTER WEIGHT OR ARE THE AUTOMATIC AND STANDARD FRONT COUNTER WEIGHTS THE SAME

No, you do not need to change the front counterweight.

I've gotta ask: why does this question comes up about as often as the backpressure question? It's just weird. Common misconceptions maybe?

I think somewhere in one out of the many auto>manual threads, someone mentions having to change it...guess it causes some confusion and inconsistency with the other threads.

I am looking for an auto setup.

How much for the bell housing, rear counter weight and flex plate?
