ATT: FI Owners - Smoke Issue

Hey Guys,

Well, after going through a pain stacking night of drinking (you’ll see why it was pain staking in the next sentence lol). I think I finally figured out why my car always smokes on start up...I had my camera tonight and was working on my car (coil wires + drinks = bad mix and a lot of shocking!) and any who I went to start up my car (not to drive, just working on it) and guess what it didn’t smoke...

Why? I was so freaking messed up that I didn’t rev it up any to smooth the idle out and thus no smoke came out...d'oh!

So, I recommend doing the 3k RPMS before shut down and trying to start it without touching the throttle at all (as much as its calling your name don’t touch it).

Start up procedure for an -SE:

1: Floor gas pedal and release. This sets the fast idle cam in the TB.
2: Start car, keeping your foot OFF the pedal.
3: Count to 10, allowing your oil pressure to build.
4: Drive off.
