Assembling my new exhaust...
Assembling my new exhaust...
decided to buy this muffler:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAGNA...spagenameZWD1V
so far the current system is:
1. Pacesetter header (dont flame me, it was free! im not too unhappy with it)
2. Stock width tubing all the way back to a ford festiva muffler (thank you mieneke LIFE OF YOUR CAR free replacement :-( definatley sucks)
thats it.
its loud. and it gets all sorts of gas fumes into my cabin.
so, i know if i replace just the muggler with that magnaflow, its gonna be loud. so i need to know just 2 things:
1. diameter of stock tubing
2. a pre-silencer i can use that would work well with that magnaflow
Thanks for all your help guys!!

Check out www.racingbeat.com and www.mazdatrix.com. They have all the best exhaust systems for the rotary heat. www.rx7.com is also great. The have cat replacemnt piep, race pipes etc. There are a lot of people that use the rb presilencer.
Stock pipe is 1-7/8" OD. Measure the outlet of your header, buy a Magnaflow/Borla oval with the same size ends, center in/offset out and run the same size pipe all the way back to the rear muffler.
