ARGH! I removed my main pulley..
now I have no reference for TDC or for setting the timing for that matter.
How do I know when my engine is at TDC, so I can reinstall the pulley at mark?

I didn't take the whole thing off, just the pulley part. It has 4 10mm bolts that run through it and no key. Some of them did and some of them, like mine, didn't.
As for the piece behind it, it was moving a little bit too. In fact I had to realign it so the bolts would go through. Is this bad?

What part exactly do you mean by "the peice behind it"? As long as you didn't loosen the main nut in the end of the e shaft that holds the hub for the pulley on, you should be okay I would think...
If you did loosen that nut w/o wedging the clutch down, it is possible that the rear thrust bearing may have gotten knocked off kilter.
