why cant i just bend them back to specs?

 

Not sure, but thinking that they will just bent right back to out of spec. Once you bend metal, it bends back easier.

 

^^^^ and then breaks.

 

It's sping steel not ment to be rebent.

 

Because they are a type of spring steel, designed to hold a particular shape. If you could bend them back to specs, what do you think would happen when you install them? They would bend right back.

To put this in a different perspective, ask the same question about the springs in the suspension, you'll get the idea.

Trust me dude they wont bend back I tryed it with mine and the snaped like twigs
