One of my 84 GSL-SE's was acting up.

as i hit second gear just cruzing. and the car lost all of its go power, it would shutter and hesitate, and not climb on the tach.
it was barely drive able for a day. then it just wouldn't start. So i pulled the plugs and they were saturated, after i cleaned them the car would start but it wouldn't run.

when i cranked the engine over with no plugs to clear the chambers, i sounded like there was a complete loss of compression in one spot each rotation.

the coils are good i have new ignition wires and plugs. good distributor. i have good spark in all 4 plugs.

is it an apex seal?or something else??

 

Do you hear 2 whooshes, gap, repeat or one whoosh, longer gap, repeat? 1 or no whooshes, apex seal. 2 whooshes, side seal.
