yeah that's a nice car....that's the altima SS bumper

its very expensive. i got a quote from selectmaz for about 1600 for that kit usd.....plus 1000 approx. shipping

i don't know of anyone here on the forums in canada or the u.s that has that bumper. apparently it has fitment issues too, its not just a direct bolt on, that's what i heard from some threads a while back. maybe do a search

I tried doing a search on it before but with no resutls .. also i notice that you're in ontario also, if you're still interested in buying one of those ... or any from them and we do a combined shiping, might be cheaper for the both of us? I won't be buying till the summer though. They quoted me 1600AU$ wich is almost the same as CDN$ (a little bit cheaper actually) and 600$ for shipping so thats 2200 for total

See the reason that I was leaning towards one of the ones from selectmaz is because everyone else that has a bit is either from mariah or, mazdatrix and which to me all look pretty much the same. So you're not as unique when you go down to a meet.

I was thinking of just getting the front piece and using Mazdatrix sides and rear to save on shipping. But the cost of shipping the front was still more than I cared to pay. Now if I could find a buyer for my Mariah widebody kit, I'd be in a group buy in a hurry.....

Thats a sweet looking car! I see that a new set of rims are a MUST with this kit. The stockers would look a bit tacky

Rx7 ... did you have fiting issues with kit?also is that the side skirt that comes with it? It seems to be a little higher off the ground than the rear and front bumper. Is that a 15? wheel in the back? I just want to know as much before i buy this thing

The kit was already fitted when I bought the car but yes I believe there was some issues with fitting it. Also the dip in the middle of the front bumper was removed. 16" wheel on the back, just not on the front because I haven't put the 5stud hubs on. The wheels on the back don't look 16" because the guards have been rolled to fit bigger wheels and tyres. The sideskirts on it are the ones that come with the kit.

I bought a SelectMaz Ultima A front four years ago, and my bodyshop refused to fit it due to poor fitment and quality. It has been sitting in the backgarden ever since and makes a useful flowerpot.

Rx7, I see that your side skirts are sucked in tighter than the front and rear bumpers. Have you ever considered having the side skirts done up custom wise with fiberglass to make the bottom of the entire kit even? Otherwise, nice looking 7.

Haven't really worried much about the side skirts being higher. Still looks ok and at the moment I have other stuff to work on/spend money on ie. turbo and brakes

From memory the shape was taken from a recent Holden Commodore, The bumper lights were something like $360 as the car was too new to find in a wreckers yard for a second-hand. By the time you have smoothed, undercoated, sprayed and polished it is quite an expensive item.

It replaces the front bumper, but being from another vehicle the lines do not match where the side mouldings are on the RX-7.
