This does not answer your question but I have to ask. Why do you want to go with that size rim?

Also you might want to check this forum.

Actually for track (auto cross) it has been proven that the 15 inch or even 13 inch are far superior.

He wants 18s cause it fits the wheel bay more,,,, IMO 15-17"" RIms look best on a rx7 and 13" 3 Piece carbon fibre rims 10" Wide are best for auto-X

I'm with doc. 15" wheels are perfect. I would never go higher than that on my car.

No one runs them. I've seen 18's and 19's on one car on cardomain.com. I don't think that guy kept them on though. It honestly just looked ridiculous. Kind of like the folks down south that put the biggest rims they can find on an old Caprice, then jack up the height so they will fit. But if thats the size you want, then cool. Best bet I think would be to get the wheels and bolt them on, and see how close they are to contacting the area around them, then buy the spacers accordingly. The width you want shouldn't cause any problems, the height is where I would be worried.

know what you are saying but i dont want to jack the thing up, rolling radius is very close to the size that is going on
stock = 205/60/14 = 602mm
new = 215/35/18 = 607mm
5mm bigger should look fine, im also going with the respeed coilover set up and already have noltec top mounts so should be able to set the car up nice
FYI the wheels im going for are KEI RSS

its possible.. 18s up front and 19s in the rear
i personally think 15s or 16s are the best sizes for FBs

Do a search for screen name "Rico Sauve"
He runs 18" rims on his GSL-SE.
I have seen 18" and 19" rims on 1st Gen RX7's and it all depends on the tire size. As stated, if sized right the overall diameter is pretty much equal.

Well here's my ride 18X7.5 wheels 215/35/18 tires w/ reSpeed TT2 Front brake adapters,calipers,& drilled & slotted brake rotors, Ground Control coil over kit on tokico blue shocks. The handling is great, stops on a dime, and does not RUB at all. I know my taste it's odd by some on the forum, but it's my car and i like it.
Now going S5 TT2 13b swap as we speak.

Those are Targa bands. You might be able to find one for a few big ones on EBay.

very nice. just a few questions!
are you still using the standard size GSL-SE disc with the 114 x 4 pcd? if so was it just a conversion kit to fit the TII calipers? i have already taken the lip off my front wings but did you use a spacer? if so what size and are you using adjustable top mounts?
whats the ride like with the low profile and what spring rates are you using?
sorry for all the questions but at least you can impress us all with you knowledge

thanks
Mark

Yes im still using 4X114.3 bolt pattern,but with the respeed kit im using 4 lug 2nd gen hubs and re drilled the TT2 brake rotors. I also used a 1/4 inch spacer to clear the coilover,springs honestly im not shure either 200lb or 225. the ride it's tight,im happy with the results.

picked up my rims yesterday and noticed they had a 38 et stamp on the back, fitted them up with a 6mm spacer (it was already on there) and they fitted fine so i can only persume they are a 38offset rather than 45 rears were also fine.
going to order my respeed kit this week just carn't decided on spring rates!?!?!
