Anyone know roughly what this would cost?

connecting a straight pip from headers , bend over rear axle and welded onto the muffler?

If you're talking about having a local pipe bender do it, it shouldn't cost that much. I had a custom pipe, 1 high flow cat and a turbo muffler put on my 84 GS for $150 when I got the stock crap removed. It even passed NJ inpsection.

why would you want to have it welded to the muffler.. flang it.

make sure and get mandrel bends as well.

go under the axel if your getting a shop to do it and i would recommend sydney tire here in nanaimo

I think going under the axle is a bad idea. Sounds like a "welded shortcut". Go over and use flanges. IMHO

Haha.... Paul (Vohaul) did that with his 85 GSL when he first got it.... cut the stock exhaust off, gave it to me, and put his header on.... drove to the shop, got the bottle and muffler welded on, and called it a day

well i just got it done today , took em an hour and half, 120$ cdn no tax (Good ol cash), i drove it there with open headers.... loud... no backpreasure sux tho...
