This system seems to easily the best exhaust out there. But I was wondering about the sound. Is it loud, does it sound good. What about the looks does anyone have any pictures.

If you get the whole system it has a very pleasent but fairly quiet note.

I thing the dual chrome tips give the car a good and not ricey look. kinda classy.

just my$.02

Just a backing on the construction. I've taken my short primary system over a few large speed bumps and it not even dented. Just scrached.

I love my RB street port system (as everyone here probably knows)... It has a low mellow sound that is NOT ricey
It is a bit louder than the stock sound--and sounds MUCH better.
And, yea, it's VERY sturdy.

i actually find that it is quiter than stock when you are not under pressure (at an idle).. but when you are really pushing it, it sounds damn nice

I have a question too

Can you get the Racing Beat header with a fitting for an O2 sensor...the catalog says the header has no provision for one...So with the 02 sensor out of the loop, does the car run full rich all of the time.

My car smells like gas bad already now, and gets horrible mileage. I don't want either to get worse if I get the system

Right on

you could always add one. it should not be that cost prohibitive. and would be easy to take the unattached header to the welder.

Buy it from Mazdatrix and it will have an O2 sensor bung in it.

I guess I will call RB and see if the header has the "bung"...dont you need the O2 sesnor though? what are the effects of running without one?

you only need a O2 bung if you have a Gsl se which is Fuel injected. FI requires a O2 sensor. Carbs dont.

THis is what I have decided. I am going to get the Roadrace chrome headers, get the Streed port long primary presilencers, and a Apexi N1 canister muffler.
I Know, I Know it will sound like a ricer but I love the look and I think It will give my car a real unique sound.

Isnt unique what the Rx-7 is all about.
