anybody know?

I want to remove and paint the bezel surrounding the sterro on my SE. The shift plate is easy to remove (I am going to stitch a leather shift boot one). But I don't wann break anything removing the other. Are there some hidden screws?? Anyone done this?? Thanks for the help.

Wait for better opinions, but I think there are a few screws near where the shifter cover attatches and you have to pull of the A/C *****.

Pull shifter cover, 2 screws there near the bottom of the ashtray. Pull off the 2 ***** for fan speed and temp control and take off the 2 nuts under them. Now pull it off slowly, there are a couple lights you have to unplug once you start pulling it off.
