but when im at the track i try not to worry about my reaction time, i try and worry about not spinning and improving my driving skills. reaction is the least of my worry's because really, im not bracket racing. just test and tune. you know?

I think you may have met a vw freind of mine at windy hollow when you had your stang there. He was probably in a yellow ghia or grey chop top ghia or a red bug probably.
Hope to see ya at the strip sometime this summer, don't even have anything worth taking right now though.
I might be going this Sunday (3/28). Not sure how the car is going to run or anything. Just have a chance to go and I will probably take it.

"actually I prefer open than a LSD. (especillay welded). use handbrake, instead of the foot brake pedal, to keep the away from red-lighting."

Huh?

Doesnt make much since to me? WackyRacer, is a good name if you use the E-brake at the strip? E-brakes, for me, are for parking only! wait a min, I dont even have an E-brake ! ! ! Ha, ha! In my experience LSD or POSI is better than a sorry *** diferential! I HATE DIFFERENTIALS ! ! !

Yes, handbrake keeps me from red lighting. Its not quite easy to do 3 things at once...clutch, gas and brake pedal. Meaning, reving the engine at the right RPM for launch while the clutch is half-way depressed. Its just easier for me grab the handbrake with my fingers in the release button to prevent the car from moving. Then drop at the last yellow light.

I went to a 1/8th mile track like a month ago. It was my first time at the track heres what i ran.
RT - 501
60 - 2.405
330- 6.866
1/8 10.522
mph-67.60
The car is a 84,12a streetport build by me,and stock carb. I think i got real lucky with that reaction time.

Yea, I have some tiny slicks. Best pass was the first run, then I made the mistake of trying to lower the air pressure. Worked great on my old car with taller slicks. These little sucker didn't go for it and the 60' kept geting slower and slower.

The slicks are 22*8/15's

I am thinking about picking up a set of 24.5*8/15's and using the 22"ers for weekend street duty

found it ! ! Timeslip:

RT - 1.01 - could've been better had tread 10%

60ft - ~2.36 - spinning tires all thru 1st & 2nd

1/8 - 10.12 - tranny grinds in 2nd and only taking it to 7k

MPH - 70 or 72 - ?

Mods

-1984 GS

-SE suspension

-LSD Rear End

-Street Ported 86-88 13B

-48 DLHA Side draft

Basically, still need to practice launching this car especially at the track.
