antifreeze leak... in the floorboard

antifreeze leak... in the floorboard

i have absolutely no idea what is causing this but when i turn on the heater then turn it off(when i stop driving around) i go back to my car and there is antifreeze in the drivers and passangers floorboards... i dont know where the leak is at or what is causing it(though i have heard something refering to the heater) any info that may help PLS let me know

ditto, its located behing the lower dash on the passenger side. pull the panels off turn it on and watch it drain.

for now, disconnect and plug both heater core lines in the firewall. with the lines exposed, use compressed air to blow out the coolant in the heater core. dont worry about the mess since its messy anyway. just cover the engine with a plastic sheet etc etc. temporary fix.

Best and easiest way to changing it is to strip the entire dash and structure

I had the same problem last winter. Damn antifreeze made a mess of the carpets and fogged up my window to the point i couldn't drive it anymore. Cost like 400 cnd to get it fixed. If you could fix it yourself the part only cost 125 i think.
