Antiafterburn vacuum hose has oil in it?

I was messing around with my car a little today and figured that since I will be trading in my DD as soon as the other car is ready, I will just put gas into the rx7 and use it to get to work this week. The car seemed to have trouble idling until it got warmed up (which the car has not been started for a few weeks.) It also backfired every time you rev the engine but didn't while I kept it at a steady rpm. I thought maybe I put the big vacuum hose for the anti-afterburn on backwards. I took it off and I saw oil and smelled gas all inside of the side that was connected to the manifold/engine wherever it connects to down in there. It got me curious wondering if that is normal? I have not noticed it doing that before.

That nipple is open to the inside of the intake manifold. Fuel, air and a little oil are mixed together in the carb and sucked into the engine through the manifold. I would expect it to smell like gas and maybe have some oil in it.

Oh okay well as long as it is normal. I couldn't tell if it was gas or oil since it smelled like gas but looked like oil lol. So that would explain a lot

One of the novelties of owning a rotary is that your gas smells like oil and your oil smells like gas.
