I have an '81 S-model. No sunroof. It was the base model with A/C. I am glad it doesn't have a sun roof, really.

The sunroofs in the 1st gen's actually one of the best I've seen on a car.

I have never known one to leak and the "panel" sunroofs are neat b/c sun won't shine through them when you don't want it to. I guess "moonroof" is a more correct term for them. I was fortunate enough to find one of the GLASS sunroofs and love it! Most were panels though. Different strokes for different foks though.......

I used to own a 81 GSL with a lexan sunroof, in addition to the factory metal panel.
Right now I've got a 84 GS ITA car and a 85 gs roller.

I've honestly never heard of an "S" model.

Only models I am aware of are these:

GS (base)
GSL (pw,pm,sunroof,cruise,rear wiper, limited slip rear)
LE (14" wire wheels, not sure what else...)
GSL-SE (Gsl model with 13B EFI motor, some with ps, bigger brakes)

Okay, so maybe I was ignorant of the fact that an "S" model exists.

According to http://www.rotorhead.ca/ref_1985.php, there was an "S" model.

Please tell me what options your car my have so I will know.
