I have an '83 12 A 5 speed with no dashlights.I've checked the automatic wires (they are not connected) I've read the archived dash light/dimmer switch problems and tried to bypass it by joining the 2 striped wires but the wires get very hot and the dash lights do come on but very dim (to dim to read). Is there something else I should be looking for?
