I work in the surface finishing industry. Anodizing is a process simalr to chrome plating. The prep work and the actual processing of the work is also simalr. I don't know actual costs involved, however the process are simalr so you can assume that the costs involved will be simalar.

Job shops (what you are looking for) are difficlut to find. The best way to find them is word of mouth. Check at car shows and speed shops. Make sure you talk to people.

I know ~90% of the surface finisher from Detroit to Toronto and don't know of any anodizing job shops

Good luck

anodising is way cheaper than chrome, basically because chroming alloy is very expensive and time consuming. When you chrome alloy they apply a primer, a bonding agent, a layer of nickel plate, then a layer of chromium plate.

Anodising is also very durable - won't scratch or anything. It is also looks cheap and crap IMO. Unless you want a particular colour, get the parts polished, then clear coated. Cheap, and best looking finish.
