Aluminum Sideskirt

On my car I've got these aluminum sideskirts, I haven't seen anyone else's car have these. Were they an option or dealer or just someone with some skills in their garage?

They were a dealer option and the correct name I believe is "Rocker Panels". :-)

Hmm, I like them but seeing as it was last running in 1996 I really don't want to know how aweful it really is.

I did that fender, it was creased over the wheel (you can see where it goes light all of a sudden) and when I leaned against it to remove the A/C the door wouldn't open. I went apeshit, I'm 6'5", there is no way I'm climbing in and out of the passenger side to save a fender.

There aren't any door dings on the rest of the car, there is rust, hence the name but for $200 you can't say no.

no where on them did it say RX7 so they must be aftermarket. The rust seemed to not really be present there.
