Aluminum and Rim Polishing...
OK, I am polishing all my "metal" under the hood. I am using a dremel with the wire brush attachment to get through the initial corrosion.
I am using 320 grit, then 400 grit, then some aluminum polish, then steel wool, then polish, then wool, back and forth back and forth...
Turning out nicely... I am going to find some 800 grit sand paper and possibly some 1500 grit and a "mouse" for sanding...
Any tips tricks advice?

Forget the Dremel....Too damn small, you'll be at for the rest to the Summer. Get out your 3/8 drill, get a brass or steel wire brush, both wheel and cup type, as well as a small bob-tail, then tackle your project. Don't forget to degrease the entire engine bay first, and also get yourself an old toothbrush, some detail brushes, and a few cans of brake/parts cleaner....
