Alternator and Header Question

My alternator went dead on me....and i have an FC alternator lying around....i was wondering if that would work for my 83 GSL? and wats the amperage differences in them? i was looking into getting a custom header which has a 10-15hp gain with the rest of the piping stock....do u think it is as good as a racing beat header?

thanx,
BiG G

Either make your own header or go RB. You won't gain very much hp if you have just the header and stock exhuast but it will help.

It's from Rotary Engineering? I'd say, "use it!" I have several of their made-for-rotary glasspacks and they all still seem to work.

lol only if you wanted to spend $1000! And I'm talkin' EACH. Seriously. 10+ years and they're not dead yet. The one on my rotary MG was installed back in '88 and it's still good.

The catalog quotes 5% increase with a stockport, up to 10% with a streetport...
