air control valve removal

I've got my 85' GSL-SE running fairly good all and all. I even drove up to college (3hr drive, FB= not a long distance car). nagging problems though. It still doesn't idle cold, and when it does idle it goes back and forth from 1100rpm to 800rpm. I think that I've got the vacuum leak down to the ACV system as I hear sucking in that area. the air pump belt is off and the pump is locked up. I ordered a blot off plate for the ACV from racing beat just now but I have a few questions. What all do I have to do to remove this system? I was looking at what I need to block off and was wondering if I could get away with just capping off the vacuum lines running into it?

I found out some things about this from the old search button. But My real question is whether I can away with just disconnecting it and plugging all the lines to it? just for now?

Yes, but do you still have the cats? If you do, plan on replacing them with a straight pipe/headers, whatever, and make sure you set it up so the aux ports still open.

thanks man. Yep, I'm ordering a RB cat delete pipe. Just capping it's vacuum lines and unplugging it fixed my problem. The car runs pretty great. I find that I take the REAL long way home everynight. I just love driving now. FB's FTW! thanks for all the help guys
