Air Control Valve GSL-SE

What does the Air Control Valve on the GSL-SE do, and can I live without it? I broke the top of mine when I took my engine out.

it does literally what it says, it controls where the air pump air goes. if you have to pass emissions, you need it working, if not there are several places that sell a plate to block the valve off

Ok, that makes sense . Authors it I guess you would remove the air pump too then. I think for now I'll just try to find one.
