Air conditioning question

Will a 1985 RX 7 A/C evaporator which mounts under the dash fit in a 1983 RX and be compatable with the 83 A/C under hood components ?

Easiest thing I would say is check your local jobber and see what the part numbers are for both years.

Or even check Mazda.

I have tried mazada dealers in the area and some said yes ,one said no and one said it is touch and go ( ie trial and error)
