virtually any parts store should have, considering that they are o-rings it's easy enough. I have an a/c o-ring assortment. But considering how small the system is I charged mine with R-12 I make do with 40-45 degree vent temps lol. Would also suggest replacing the reciever drier as well

Look into R-152 in the FC section. Its cheaper and better suited to the old system.

I'm just getting started, and I'm looking for a way to drain my AC - is there any noob-friendly way to do it that doesn't involve taking it to a shop?

You'd want to evacuate the system, Harbor Freight has something you use with your air compressor not the fastest but is cheap and works other companies carry the same exact tool at 3 to 4 times the cost. But of course this is if your system is empty as you would not want to open the system to the enviroment

The most important is the oil you have to drain the oil of the a/c compressor, flush the entire a/c system. also replace the a/c drier (acumulator ). the fitting really i dont care as long that you remenber what type of freon you are using.

the oil on the r 12 is mineral and r 134 is pag. they are not compatible.

Don't use PAG on a conversion. You want to use Ester oil.

I also suggest you read this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ghlight=r-152a

It works amazingly well.
