yep my sunroof loked exatly like yours one other thing you need to consider is taking the whole frame of it out cleaning the surface real good and putting some sealer around it becouse it will leak around the outside also trust me I drove around with a garbage bag over my seat for a while before I just said screw it.

You might want to go to a dealership locally and find out if they do sunroofs in house, or if there is a local business that does it. I work for one such business, we install aftermarket "dealer options" if you need a car with a sunroof, leather, heated seats, dvd, etc. And you dont want to wait for one to come in from the manufacturer (which nowadays is pretty common) the take a base model and dress it up with aftermarket options.

But anyway, they will have seals for sunroofs. It is generally a tightfitting seal that you need a rubber mallet to tap into place, you cut the seal to length when you get close to getting it 95% of the way on, ensuring that there will be a slight overlap in the seal. Then you push it on tightly, the overlap makes a snug fit between the ends of the seal, ensuring that its watertight. Trust me, they fit TIGHT, I have never seen one work its way off if its installed properly.

We do that because we have several different sizes of sunroofs, instead of carrying seals specific to each one, we carry a strip that you can cut to fit whatever you are installing.

Rule of thumb on sunroofs, if you want to know if its factory or not. Check the drip pan, the area underneath the sunroof that collects any moisture accumulation. If it is a different color that the body color, its aftermarket. And if there is a seal on the roof itself, and the sunroof portion, then the roof was probably cut after the car left the assembly line.

Another thing to watch on the aftermarket sunroofs is where the drain tubes go. The body I used for the widebody began as a GS with an aftermarket sunnroof installed. Whoever installed it never bothered to cut and reinstall the headliner. I paid what I consider a premium price for the car because it was rust and dent free. Or so I thought until I stripped tyhe interior. The drain tubes, all 4 of them went down into the A and B pillars, where they stopped.

This resulted in a rust spot that went the floor pan behind the passenger seat since the water had no place to go. While I had the interior out, I extended the drain tubes so they exited the body in the front and rear wheel wells.

Wow, what a pleasent suprise to you! =|

I'll make sure to check that out. I'm ordering some weatherstripping today and i think i'll try melting it together before i try any bonding agents.

I'll take pics of it and you guys can criticize my work. I'll probably do my carb hat at the same time. =P

If you're using a rubber gasket, and it should be rubber, it won't melt together and bond. Save the headache and check your local autobody paint supplier for an adhesive/bonding agent.
