after market temp. gauge
my temp. gauge isn't working and I want to put and aftermarket gauge on my dash. My question is, can I buy just any aftermarket gauge off the shelf at AutoZone or is there a compelling reason to purchase from somewhere else? Will all the connetors work or is there something different about the sending unit on the 12 A that makes it different?
I looked for 30 minutes to see if my questions was asked in previous posting so sorry if I missed it.

the idiot that I bought the 84 GSL from butchered most of the wiring in the car installing and alarm. I have put about 10 hours into trying to fix it and another problem and just decided the aftermarket route might be the one of least resistance.
