I had my carb rebuilt at KD Rotary in Pennsylvania. It cost me around $160, but it works great. A carb kit will run around $20 from Victoria British, but you have to do the labor.

people tell me not to buy the car because of reliability issues... what are some common problems with the 1st gen?

IMO the rx7 carb is a very tricky carb to rebuild. it has all its lil vacume and emissions things.. if u unsure with you doing i would recomend getting it done by a pro...

if u look after em, they will be good to u..

p.s sorry for spelling mistakes, still recovering from NYE

They're really no different from any other car. Just remember: don't over heat the engine, change the oil every 3000-5000 miles, and always let it warm up before you drive it hard. If you do these things and maintain the car well, it should last a long time.

people just say stuff like that cuz they have never owned a rex and are scared of them, because of the "rotary engine"
