Talking Advice On Going Turbo

Whats up Guys! Ive been saving up my money and ive decided to go Turbo. I have a 79 12a engine on my 84 gs should i (A) Buy the necessary components and add them to my existing engine or (B) Should i just purchase a Japanese 12a turbo engine? Also should i do a 4 port and turbo or just leave turbo stock?

im gona be nice and not say search...but i will ask

how much money do you WANT to spend.?

how much money will you be WILLING to spend if in need?

and how much back up money?

its prolly gona cost somewhere around twice what you think its going to.

turbo-ing you 12a is not the hardest thing. you going to need the carb preped. all turbo parts. upgrade almost everything. and should have the engine rebuilt.

if you go jdm 12at you STILL have to get it rebuilt...a decent turbo..intercooler. upgraded cooling system. upgraded fuel system. new exhaust...find a ecu...wire it all up.. and on and on.

what im going is upgrading these things as they fail...BEFORE i decide to drop my turbo engine in.

im not trying to scare you away at all.

but how much are you do you want to spend and we can help you choose a good setup.
