Acv?
I have a 1980 RX7 and it backfires bad between shifts, I think its a faulty air control valve. Is there any way to remove the valve altogether and cure the backfire without causing any other problems?
Thanks

sure replace the cats with a straight pipe or header, remove the airpump and fabricate an ACV block-off plate.
I'm not sure of the consequences of removing and blocking the ACV only.

Use the search button for this corner...there's a cheaper way to do it, but I don't have my "cheat" sheet here at work to get you straight to it. I did it last summer to get the '84 to pass emissions....dead ACV....
