accelerator pump return spring

I am halfway through rebuilding my stock nikki. When I removed the accelerator pump and diaphragm I noticed that there was no return spring.
Any ideas on where I can source a new one since it does not come in the GP Sorensen kit?
The car has been sitting for a couple of years but did run before then. will it be able to function without the spring since it did before?

Thanks for the help rxtasy3.
I figured as much. But was hoping by some miracle that it was not necessary. I guess I'll just finish the rebuild today and wait till I can get the spring before I put it back on the car. I just wonder how there was no spring in there in the first place

Anyone have an extra laying around?

Now I feel dumb. The spring came out and has been sitting this whole time under the throttle body I guess I missed it.
Im putting everything together now. Hopefully I didn't mess anything up.
sorry for creating a useless thread

Hope you know where your check ***** and weights are... those are the worst items that go missing on carb rebuilds.

I made sure to keep everything very organized. The spring was the only questionable item and must have sprung down and out of view when I first opened it up.
I actually finished the rebuild about an hour ago. If it was still light out I would have reinstalled it too. I am going to do it on wednesday. Looking forward to it

in case anyone was interested. the car started up for the first time in about 7-8 years after a little coaxing.
There was a gigantic plume of smoke for the first couple of minutes. I heard a firetruck with its sirens soon after. It wasn't for the rx7 but I thought it was for a second.
I think its running a little rich right now. Im going to put some time in to get things right this week.
