94% of my car... Teaser pic

Here is a shot of my car. I will have some close ups later on. I shaved the hatch lock, all emblem holes (minus header panel), and the side marker lights. I am currently working on getting my new headlight assy installed. Also, for anyone interested - Take the entire rear bumper off instead of removing the bumper cover. Makes for easier un/install. Every single bolt head broke off that hold the bumper cover on. Now I get to drill out and retap the holes as I dont think that self tapping bolts will be able to handle the thickness of the rear bumper. Could be wrong though. Let me know what you think so far...

LOL! I had the same problem with the bumper! On the plus side, the beam is aluminium, and you can easily drill new holes. I just used new nuts, bolts, and "fender washers" to hold the cover on.

Looks like you do good body work. Mind if i drop off my new project Se with you, lol.
My red se I had the sidemarkers shaved and all the emblems removed, left the side mouldings off. Don't forget to use flex agent on the bumpers.
What about a white pearl top coat? think about it.

As usual, great advise, Doc. My first paint job was plagued with the cracked clearcoat on the back bumper because of lack of flex agent.

Sorry to Hijack but 64MGB i looked at a 72 the other day, the dealer said it needed nothing, haha far from it. The frame rails weren't too bad and someone replaced the trunk and passenger pans. Still MGs are fun little cars. You ever had an MGA?
