88 RX-7 help requested

Our 1988 RX-7 simply will not start. We have taken it to several mechanics who cannot fix it. Does anyone know of someone in the Albany, NY area who might be able to work on our car?

Thanks very much.

well, i would first check for flooding by removing the plugs after cranking the engine. if they are fouled, you have a problem. it could be a few things. most notibly, being a spark problem. next being a bad fuel pressure regulator, and finally bad compression, which is fairly common with the two piece apex seals. if the compression is low, you can try an atf treatment/mmo treatment, whichever you prefer. there are tons of things it could be. but, check for spark and check for fouling. you ca also try posting this in the second gen forum and try searching in the second gen forum. hope this gives you a decent start.
