I have a 79 rx7, I'm wondering what the process is for dropping a 88 2nd generation 13b engine and tranny into the 79 1st gen?

 

there are a couple of thread about this do a search and you will find a lot of info.

You will need a 84-85 13B GSLSE oilpan
Modified engine mount or 84-85 GSLSE crossmember
13B intake whether it's for a Holley, Weber sidedraft or downdraft
13B headers
Oil cooler line. I believe it's the rear one since it won't stretch all the way to your oil cooler.

 

9 posts and you have started how many threads, asking about a 350 swap, an SE swap, a tranny swap and now this.

I think it's time you make use of the archives and search function. When you have learned a bit more and decided on a path to take, then ask.

 

I just started a thread about 3 days ago. Im swapping a 13b 6 port off an 87 gxl. Its similar to yours. Read it because a lot of people respoinded.
