Exclamation 85SE e-brake cable replacement

My rear right side cable rusted and snapped. Left side is okay.

Any hints/tips on replacing it?

I'm replacing all the cabling at one time. So far I have removed them all.

Jack the rear of the car and set the jackstands on the rear axle, away from the wheels.

Remove the wheels

Remove the nut inside the car at the parking brake handle

Under the car, remove the rubber gromit at the parking brake handle and pull the cable down

Remove and save the spring where the cable splits

Follow the cable back to the rear where it attaches to the rear cable

Remove the tiny cotter pin and pull the pin out to separate the cables. This is the hard part

Repeat above step for other side of car

The nut on the left side cable guide is 10mm

Remove the clip at the frame inside side, and the gromit on the outside frame side. The locking clip is the same style as the one for the brake lines at the front strut mount (a flat U shape)

Loosen the nut at the caliper and free the cable

From the outside work the cable out throught the frame

Repeat the above three steps for the other side

Dance like a madman for all your neighbours to see the victory dance

BTW there are three different cables that attach at the wheel (drum, gsl disc AND se disc) but only one front/intermediate for all 81-85

Mine rusted through at the intermediate on the right side.
