Yea right. Robert built a car w/o an intercooler that did 230 to the wheels at 10 psi. This guy is making atleast 270 to the wheels at 15psi.

Nice setup. Question on the battery? What alternator are you using to recharge the battery? Looks like it needs a low amperage alt to keep it from overcharging. Thanks, J.

Is that a bicycle water bottle for the overflow tank? It kinda looks like one.

Sweet car, looks great!

This has got to be one of my favorite looking TII swaps done. DirectFreak holds it as my favorite FB, but this one is far far up there as well. Congrats on it, and I can't wait to hear the dyno numbers on this thing.

I believe thats an Odysee battery, its what most FD guys are running. They are small in size, but just as strong as regular batteries. You can put one in your FB is you want with no concerns, if you have the money for them. I believe they run a little more expensive then Optima ones.

You know the saying if, if you have to ask...

Seriously it was alot and I would have to look at my bill to figure out the cost for just the TII swap as I had Robert do several other things.

Hah, you're welcome. If it weren't for people like you out there taking care of your rx7, and pushing performance out of these cars, this forum wouldn't be here. It would also leave FB's well in the past to be only remembered for what they were, and not what they could be. I think all the thanks lies within the people of this forum who are striving to push as much performance out of their FB's, FC's and FD's as possible.

Atop of that, I was really hoping to do a TII swap in one of my FB's. Finances are getting far too tight now, though. I'm having to sell one of my FB's, and my engine popped in the one I was using as a daily driver. I've got to find another car now, plus I am in the process of buying a house as well.

Regardless of all that - you're car looks amazing, and the swap is great. Still going to be a dream for me to have a TII swap. For now I'll settle with a large streetported 12a (I'll start porting my engine soon).

chris, your definatly leaving out alot of important details...... like, this is an original 59,000 mile original paint // everything super clean, tight driving rx7 that is almost impossible to find.. then you buy it, and turn it into a turbo charged beast that runs like a bat out of hell!!!

here are some specs...

91 j-spec turbo motor
SE front engine cover and oil pan
fidanza aluminum n/a flywheel with counter weight
racingbeat race clutch with street disk (good street combo)
3" mandrell bent custom exhaust from the turbo back
weber 48 dco turbo prepped carby
spearco intercooled
tial BOV with all mandrell bent piping
2 MSD 6 AL units, with blaster coils, msd wires attached too a locked dizzy
electric fan, stock radiator for now.....
140 amp alternator (almost 16 volts at 1,500 rpm's)
custom battery wiring along with a beast mini-me dry cell battery
meth injection
15 psi of boost
lots of chedder cheese,,,, and Rotaryshack love!!

i would like to thank chris for his patience and attention to detail this car looks better in person than in the pics!!

that probably cost quite a pretty penny. when i do my swap i gotta stick with mostly oem stuff except exhaust n downpipe cause im low on the cash n dont have a job but hopefully in the next few months i'll be posting up about my fb TII.

Looks good..

Welcome to the FB TII family. It always make me feel better when I see that I am not the only person crazy enough to put a large amount of cash into a 20 year old car. Just a piece of advice you make want to protect your investment by letting your insurance company know what you did. I got a agreed value policy to cover my 20K.

I have only driven the car for about an hour today and it is a blast. The turbo kicks in fast and strong @ around 15psi. Man I am going to be getting into lots of trouble with this thing.
