No power after car warms up! Car run very fast and strong with the choke on but after the choke goes off. Car is very sluggish and act as though a governor has been applied. Car has all new distributor, spark plugs and spark plug wires. Please help!

i would fully rebuild the carb. it sounds as if you loosened up some crud in the carb and it has partially clogged one or more jets. clean the fuel bowles, jets, air bleeds, replace the accelerator pump, needles, and seats, all applicable gaskets and crush washers. inspect the floats and measure their level.
you may also want to inspect the fuel filter, as you may have some crud in the tank causing a partial obstruction.
are you sure the timing is set properly?

First off, as always, change the fuel filter. It's $6. After taxes. They are cheap and shitty and clog easily, so while your there, buy all of them. They are usually the cause of these sorts of problems. After that buy a shop manual and follow the guide for a fuel volume and pressure test. After that you should know how your fuel pump is doing. Like the fuel filter, the pump is garbage from the factory. It is BARELY enough for the stock application, so one on it's way out is practically a paperweight already.
The choke cuts off airflow so the car will run rich, so once its up to temp and the choke shuts off, it goes back to what should be normal a/f ratios. Your lack of power after warmup is most likely contributed to a lack of fuel.
Lastly check the "teeter totter" (At the rear of the carb, towards the passenger side. Sorry I dont have a pic) If it fell off the linkage then it could also be a cause of your deminished power. It has something to do with the secondaries. I can't remember if it's the return lever or something else. Either way it has something to do with the secondaries and causes alot of problems for alot of people, myself included. Good luck.

Here's a picture and the thread about the Throttle return (teeter totter) mentioned by Orion84gsl.

All good advice. I would begin with the fuel filter, just because it is simple and cheap.
I had the same symptoms that you have described when I was dealing with clogged jets, so a rebuild and thorough cleaning is what will probably be needed. This is not extremely difficult or expensive, as long as you can read and follow directions. Take your time and do it right. Good luck...
