I'm new at this so excuse me if I mess up.
my 12A engine won't fire up . This happened all of a sudden . I started to go through the usual tests. when I pulled #1 trailing plug to see if it had spark I noticed that it was soaking wet. At first I thought it was waterbut now I'm not sure cause the wet plug smells like gas. Next test, I drained the cooling system took out all the spark plugs , turned the engine over for 20 sec.to clear combust. chambers of excess moisture reinstalled plugs, tried to start eng. again , It would fire for a while but would not start engine seems to be flooding , what the heck is my next move?

If it is flooded then you'll have to un-flood it. Which, from what i've read is different from un-flooding a boinger. i'm sure someone can supply the info on how to do that. Also, if you car is flooding then it might be running too rich.

My car did that the other day, couldnt get it to start for the life of me. Didnt know why just wouldnt start. So I hooked it up to the back of my jeep and had had my wife pull me around until it did start. Didnt take that long figured I may have flooded it or soemthing. Starts up fine now though.

well, you could always rebuild it. if the apex seals are still good, you can just replace the gaskets.
