85 gsl-se pricing

hey guys, im new here and im looking at buying a first gen rx-7 and I would like a second opinion at the car I am looking at. alright, it's an 85 gsl se, with 190 000 km on the body, and 4000 km on the rebuilt motor, here are some pics. http://motoring.willowroot.ca/external/rx-7/ he is asking $2500 canadian for it. I'm not going to be making a lot of money and im just looking for a fun car to boot around in, i.e. I probly won't be modding it or improving it. I'm just wondering if you think $2500 if a fair price, considering it has quite a bit of rust. It doesn't have really major rust spots, but there are spots all over the car in numerous places so it would be costly to fix them all/repaint (not that I plan on doing it, but that should effect price). anyways, thanks in advance guys. rotary for life

Yea, personally I think $1500 would be high. I bought one in similar condition, rust wise, but better condition body wise for $550. And my second SE with NO rust but rougher condition interior and engine for $650.

Cool 85 gsl pricing

Don't really know the conversion of US to Canadian--but I just got an 85 gsl @ Atlanta, Ga -- paid seller $1000 USD -- no rust, good engine, trans. and electrical-- w/166K mi -- needed a good interior clean-up, new tires and $1000 brake job-- -- actually have spent now @ $2500 US total.
