'84 taillight project
Greetings,
Finished my taillight project this weekend. I took a heavyduty utility knife with a new sharp blade and heated the blade up with a propane torch. I then c a r e f u l l y ran the blade along the seams and was able to seperate the pieces with only one mistake. I placed a purple gel over the red lenses and reassembled them. The taillights now have a dark ruby tint to them. Looks very good!
I also removed the black plastic panel from between the lights and I am going to relocate the license plate there. I will have to tuck the bottom part of the plate between the bumper and the body, but should have no problem legally. I then intend to get a clear plate cover and illuminate it using the existing wiring, but with a different bulb. Now I have to come up with a way to fill in the gap where the plate used to be. Any ideas anyone?
Vlad

Not sure about this, but you are basically going for the Aussie look on your 7. See if any of our down under members have rear end shots. Might wanna see abuot an imported bumper or rear wraparound.

Yup.... check out the pic of my rear end.... hehehe not like that... I don't know how hard it would be, but the bumpers could probably be swapped. Only difference being the fact that the Sa had spring-loaded shock absorber bumpers with rubber covered squared edges. It would definitely make the car look different .
