can anyone tell me where a good spot is to mount a audio amplifier on a 84 rx7

 

Take your pick:

• Inside the Rear Bins.
• Outside the rear Bins.
• Under the Seats
• Where the Spare Tire is.
• Behind the Dash.

 

Supply bin cavity. Easy fit, there is some oldschool stuff in there (drivers side) that IIRC is an old amp. Rip that out, because you are redoing the radio, speakers, and everything else if you are considering an amp. Have fun, and post a few pics along the way.

 

wont it over heat

 

It shouldn't so long as you have the amp set correctly. Perhaps you should look on an audio specific forum for more info on this, as it seems like you could use advice for the more technical details of the audio. Heat, speakers, amps are are independent of the type of vehicle honestly, so this is a poor place for info. I am also under the impression that few people do audio mods on here.
